The 2018-2019 season will be a transitional time for WSPS. Children's Friend, a local non-profit that provides child welfare, family support, mental health, and child development services, received a grant from the federal government to expand their services and infrastructure, will be leasing the Asa Messer Annex (our home for the past three years.)  A complete renovation of the space began in February 2018 and WSPS will be located at the John Settlement House (7 Thomas P. Whitten Way, fronts Westminster St.) for the 2018-2019 season.

When the project is complete next year, WSPS will have brand new, longterm digs in the totally refurbished basement!

*What This Means for Families This Year*

FEES: Instead of a monthly membership fee, there will be a SUGGESTED DONATION of $5 CASH or check per visit, or pay what you can/ visit. Workshops and special events may have an additional cost.

VOLUNTEER OBLIGATION: Keeping with the spirit of the co-op model, families are asked to volunteer for AT LEAST ONE shift during the entire season, preferably two. A set schedule through March will take away the uncertainty of shifting schedules and make it easier to volunteer. Volunteers will have suggested donation and special events waived or discounted. We really need your help to keep our community together during this transitional time. Sign Up Genius will be used to manage our calendar and volunteer shifts. Click HERE to view the entire calendar for the season and sign up for your shift TODAY!

When our new space is completed, we will resume our old co-op model with a monthly membership fee and volunteer requirements.
